the riónce ‘third space’ residency

a 16 week third space experience for founders, creatives, musicians, and curious minds who are serious about building the life of their dreams. if you refuse to do life the “normal” way, and you want to be around more people with big visions that might sound unrealistic to everyone else - but make perfect sense to you, you’ll fit in here.

we gather each week so you’ve got somewhere to go while you build. think: a calm room, great people, and a regular dose of accountability. you can make, plan, experiment, learn, chat, or sit in solitude. no performance, no forced networking or putting of things that move the needle. you’ll leave feeling better than when you came, and over time you’ll feel less lonely, more creative, more consistent & more accomplished.

4 rules: no alcohol, no shoes, no videos or pretentiousness.

  • you arrive, shoes off, and settle in. the room is calm and set up so you can get into your own flow straight away.

you’ll see people making, planning, testing ideas, writing, sketching, rehearsing, or quietly sorting their head out. you can chat if you want to, ask for feedback if it’s helpful, or keep it to yourself and focus.

nothing’s forced. you’re not expected to introduce yourself or explain what you do. you’ll leave feeling better than when you came.

  • you’ll be in a space where presence matters. phone use stays low, no scrolling, no distractions.

there’s a no video culture here, which cuts out a lot of the ‘performing for the internet’ & pressure to be impressive.

you’ll be around people who are actually building things and taking themselves seriously without taking themselves too seriously.

accountability is built in, so your time doesn’t just drift. you’ll also get a monthly guest talk, practical and useful, plus the odd extra night dropped with 48 hours notice.

  • if you show up over the 16 weeks…

✓you’ll get out the house more, without forcing it.

✓ you’ll feel less drained by life, less isolated and more socially fed

✓ you’ll start moving things forward that you’ve been sitting on for a while

✓ you’ll experiment more, take more creative risks, and feel calmer in yourself.

✓ you’ll leave with more nourishing friendships and collaborators

most people finish feeling more consistent, more confident, and more connected than when they started.

  • we’re doing this because building a big life can feel lonely and overstimulating, especially when your routines don’t fully match who you’re becoming.

because third spaces and studios can be hard to access, shallow networking is boring and unproductive; and, because isolation is crippling / makes people recover alone instead of connecting, which is one of the best healers we have.

this residency gives you a reliable, sacred place to return to while you build. a room that helps you slow down, stay present, and actually follow through on what matters.

  • ages 25 to 45.

founders, creatives, musicians, and curious minds who are kind, down to earth, and want a better life for themselves. especially if you don’t fit typical scenes but still want community.

this will suit you if you:

✓ are serious about building a life that feels true to you

✓ have big ideas or ambitions and are actively working on them

✓ want a calm, respectful space to make and think

✓ like real conversation and people who show up properly

✓ don’t need alcohol or filming to enjoy yourself

  • his won’t work for you if you:

    • move through shared spaces disrespectfully

    • need to be the loudest or most visible person in the room

    • thrive on drama, cliques, or constant negativity / self-depreciation

    • want to film, post, or perform for attention

    • struggle to respect clear boundaries

  • this residency works best if you actually turn up.

you’re expected to come at least 2 times a month. you don’t need to be super social or confident, but you do need to be open, respectful, and willing to take part properly.half-hearted energy doesn’t work in a space like this.

" it sounds really dramatic, but it’s changed my life.

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO BALANCE CREATIVITY AND LIFE FOR A WHILE. I THINK I MADE MORE MONEY IN THOSE FEW MONTHS THAN I HAVE IN THE LAST YEAR, GENUINELY.

I FEEL REALLY PROUD OF MYSELF & I HAVEN'T SAID THAT IN A LONG TIME.”

faqs

  • openness, experimentation, personal development, and real life experiences. respect for shared space is essential. no disrespect and no self-deprecation. no stoosh behaviour.

  • we’ve found 16 weeks is the right balance. it’s long enough for people to settle in, build trust, and see change, but short enough to feel manageable. you can see the end from the start, which helps people commit fully.

  • we create a quiet archive of the time. consisting of photographs, short articles, a few quotes, and a record of what was made or explored. about a month before the end, we check in with residents about how they’d like to be included and what next might look like.

  • no. the minimum expectation is 2 sessions a month. some residents come weekly, some less often. consistency over time matters more than frequency.

  • that’s completely fine. many residents feel that way at first. there’s no pressure to speak, share, or perform. you can talk a lot, a little, or sit quietly and focus on your own thing. all of that is welcome.

  • no. people join for different reasons. some are making work, some are planning ideas, some are experimenting or learning, and some just need a regular place to think and be around others. creativity shows up in different ways here.

  • occasionally, for specific sessions. guest access is intentional and limited to protect the feel of the residency.

  • no. this is a residency experience with accountability built in. people often find it grounding and supportive, however it’s not therapy or a replacement for professional support.

  • that’s exactly why the first visit exists. you’re invited to experience it before committing. if it doesn’t feel right, that’s okay. this residency works best when it’s a mutual fit.

  • this residency is a 16 week commitment. we ask people to commit to the full period so the space stays consistent for everyone. all terms are shared clearly before you confirm your place.
