the riónce ‘third space’ residency

a 16 week third space experience, that gets you out the house, around good people, and back into making, once a week, with accountability built in

this is for founders, creatives, musicians, and curious minds who want somewhere to go regularly. not to perform. not to network. just to be human, make things, and leave feeling better than when they came.

we’ve got 4 rules though…no alcohol, no shoes, no videos or stoosh behaviour. if you’re feeling the vibe, this might be for you.

(this residency is based across our third spaces in ladywell / peckham - se london, uk & online)

  • you turn up, kick your shoes off, you settle in. & grab a hot or cold one. music low. room calm.

some people are making. some people are planning. some people are testing ideas. some people just need to be around other humans while they get their head straight. there’s space, there’s equipment, and it’s set up for you to try things without feeling watched.

no forced intros. no awkward games. no “everyone share your business”.
you can talk loads, or you can keep it quiet. either is fine.

most people leave feeling lighter than when they arrived. and that’s the point.

  • the people, kind, curious, eclectic, non-pretentious

it feels homely, not like a venue

the culture is clear, no alcohol, no shoes, no videos or stoosh behaviour.

you can use a range of equipment and experiment without it being costly

accountability is baked in, so people actually follow through

it’s real, sometimes spontaneous, and hard to explain until you’ve been

  • people arrive however they arrive, but they leave feeling better than when they came:

✓ calmer, happier, glad they came

    ✓ inspired & motivated

    ✓ proud, accomplished, recharged

    ✓ more confident, more creative

    ✓ less lonely, more connected

    ✓ more disciplined, more consistent

✓ with real progress on the things they keep saying they’ll do

after 16 weeks: more collaborators & friends. more experimentation, more productivity, more courage, more follow-through, more achievements; & for some, more financial progress too.

  • because third spaces & studios can be costly and hard to access. because loneliness is real. because a lot of social culture feels draining & performative. because people feel like they have to document everything to succeed, and it’s exhausting.

because shallow networking is boring & unproductive. because isolation is crippling and makes people recover alone instead of connecting, which is one of the best healers we have.

riónce exists to prove you can build something meaningful without heavy video culture, & to give people a reliable place to return to that helps them feel better in themselves.

  • ages 25 to 45.

founders, creatives, musicians, and curious minds who are kind, down to earth, and want a better life for themselves. especially if you don’t fit typical scenes but still want community.

  • those who embody: cliquey energy. rudeness. bullying. discrimination. unnecessary drama. shouting. acting up for attention. people glued to their phone. loud calls in the room. constant negativity and self-deprecation.

if you move disrespectfully in shared spaces, it won’t work here.

  • minimum expectation: come to at least 2 sessions a month. you don’t have to be loud or super social, but you do need to be open. half-hearted energy doesn’t work in a space like this.

  • £60 per calendar month
or £228 upfront for the full 16 weeks.

    your first hangout is £20.

if you decide to join, we credit your £20 towards your first month if you activate your spot within 48 hours. you just top up the remaining £40, then it’s £60 pcm.

    1. fill in the application form

    2. we’ll have a quick hello call (5 to 8 mins)

    3. you come to a £20 first visit hangout

    4. you fill out a 3 minute reflection form

    5. if aligned, we’ll confirm next steps (same night or next day)

  • hangouts: wednesdays + sundays, 6pm to 10pm

accountability: two fridays a month, online

guest talk: one tuesday a month, in person

extra nights: 48 hours notice in whatsapp

(full dates are shared once you’re in)

  • we keep phone use to a minimum, we encourage no scrolling - instead that you to be present, make something, talk, read, dance, nap or chill.

no videos in the third space

photos are fine, be mindful of who’s in the background

some nights we may have a professional photographer

if you don’t want to be photographed, it’s respected fully, no questions

(the rionce team may voice record talks, performances, or relevant audio in a designated area, respectfully, as a way of keeping the important bits)

  • fill in the application form.

we’re selective, not on status - just on vibe & alignment. we’re looking for realness, commitment to our why and to your own personal development.

" it sounds really dramatic, but it’s changed my life.

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO BALANCE CREATIVITY AND LIFE FOR A WHILE. I THINK I MADE MORE MONEY IN THOSE FEW MONTHS THAN I HAVE IN THE LAST YEAR, GENUINELY.

I FEEL REALLY PROUD OF MYSELF & I HAVEN'T SAID THAT IN A LONG TIME.”

faqs

  • because:

a lot of people feel lonely, stuck, or disconnected, even when life looks busy.

having a regular place to return to matters.

when people have space, consistency, and the right environment, they tend to feel better and move forward.

this residency exists to give people that set-up.

  • to offer a reliable, sacred space people can return to over 16 weeks. a place to make, think, experiment, connect, and reset. the focus is on consistency, presence, and real change over time.

  • most people feel less lonely, more settled, and more consistent. they make more progress on the things they care about, feel more confident trying new things, and build genuine connections over time.

  • openness, experimentation, personal development, and real life experiences. respect for shared space is essential. no disrespect and no self-deprecation. no stoosh behaviour.

  • we ask that residents come at least 2 times a month. you don’t need to attend every session, but regular presence matters. the residency works best when people are choosing to show up, not forcing themselves.

  • we’ve found 16 weeks is the right balance. it’s long enough for people to settle in, build trust, and see change, but short enough to feel manageable. you can see the end from the start, which helps people commit fully.

  • we create a quiet archive of the time. consisting of photographs, short articles, a few quotes, and a record of what was made or explored. about a month before the end, we check in with residents about how they’d like to be included and what next might look like.

  • no. the minimum expectation is 2 sessions a month. some residents come weekly, some less often. consistency over time matters more than frequency.

  • that’s completely fine. many residents feel that way at first. there’s no pressure to speak, share, or perform. you can talk a lot, a little, or sit quietly and focus on your own thing. all of that is welcome.

  • no. people join for different reasons. some are making work, some are planning ideas, some are experimenting or learning, and some just need a regular place to think and be around others. creativity shows up in different ways here.

  • there are weekly in-person hangouts, two online accountability calls a month, and one in-person guest talk night each month. additional sessions may be shared with short notice. full details are shared once you’re accepted.

  • occasionally, for specific sessions. guest access is intentional and limited to protect the feel of the residency.

  • no. this is a residency experience with accountability built in. people often find it grounding and supportive, however it’s not therapy or a replacement for professional support.

  • that’s exactly why the first visit exists. you’re invited to experience it before committing. if it doesn’t feel right, that’s okay. this residency works best when it’s a mutual fit.

  • this residency is a 16 week commitment. we ask people to commit to the full period so the space stays consistent for everyone. all terms are shared clearly before you confirm your place.
