the riónce studio residency is a seasonal creative programme offering 4 months of free or subsidised studio access for photographers, videographers, music artists, djs, fashion designers, event curators & multi-hyphenate creatives who are already earning from their work.

this residency is for those committed to their plan [a], the ones building something serious, but in need of a space to finally move how they’d always wanted to.

you’ll get access to a private / time-shared studio in southeast london, business coaching/ accountability check ins, creative strategy calls, community events, and a final showcase to share what you’ve built.

depending on the residency place you’re offered, you’ll receive:

• free or subsidised studio / venue access for 4 months

• business coaching + accountability

• creative strategy / check-ins

• marketing spotlight opportunities

• community sessions + events

• access to your residency cohort

• end-of-residency gala + public exhibition / showcase opportunity

your exact studio access will be confirmed before you accept your place.

in return for receiving a free or subsidised place, we ask you to properly use the opportunity.

[4] share your work + experience where appropriate.
[5] support your cohort + wider community.
look after the space.

document parts of your 4-month residency through things like day-in-the-life content, behind-the-scenes clips, work-in-progress, studio days + finished work.

you don’t need to become a content creator. we just want enough documentation to show the journey + what changed over the four months.

when sharing residency-related content publicly, tag @rionceartsclub.

you’re joining a cohort, not just hiring a room.

we ask residents to make a reasonable effort to show up to community sessions, events + opportunities, and support the other people taking part where they can.

that could be attending someone’s event, sharing their work, giving feedback, collaborating or simply being around.

during or after your residency, you may be featured in a riónce case study or resident spotlight sharing your work, journey + what changed over the four months.

honest answers to reflective questions in a virtual or in-person conversation

permission to share agreed photos, video, quotes + work across riónce’s website, social media + newsletters.

the spaces are shared, so please leave them ready for the next person.

• arrive + leave within your booked time.

• leave the space as you found it.

• return furniture + equipment.

• clean up after yourself.

• report damage or issues.

• respect other residents, neighbours + people using the building.

• repeated misuse of the space or missed bookings may affect your residency access.

at the end of the 4 months, we’ll bring everything together with a one-night riónce gala, followed by a public exhibition.

you’ll be involved in shaping how the work is presented, with the riónce team leading the curation + production.

the night will celebrate what the cohort has made, built + moved forward; bringing together real people, real work + people we want to put that work in front of.

afterwards, the exhibition opens to the public.

a proper close to the residency; and the starting point for the next phase of your plan [a].

part of the residency is documenting + celebrating the work happening inside it.

riónce may ask to repost or feature agreed residency-related photos, video, quotes + finished work across our website, social media, press + future residency promotion.

you still own your work.

anything private, unreleased or commercially sensitive should be clearly flagged to us.

Copyright: You’ll retain full copyright to your work but grant us, Riónce Arts Club a non-exclusive license to use the content for marketing and promotional activities.

your residency lasts for 4 months.

after that, your free or subsidised studio access ends unless another arrangement has been agreed.

you can still remain part of the wider riónce community + may be invited to future opportunities, events, exhibitions + collaborations. alumni are elegible to discounts site-wide and are offered a check-in offered every 6-months after the residency ends for 12 months.
