black gold sun studios x riónce
march + april 2026 | a working proposal
over the past couple of weeks, annie and i have been discussing what feels possible, practical and fair for everyone involved. this page simply sets that out clearly.
the aim is not to complicate anything. the aim is to create stability during march & april 2026, define roles properly and test something that could grow into something long term - as if it works well, we can all win.
/// abbreviations ///
black gold sun studios = bgs
riónce arts club & studios = rac
-
this is a proposed two month trial between:
✓ annie, owner of black gold sun studios
✓ rhyiana, studio manager at bgs
✓ oleta, founder of riónce arts club
for march and april 2026 only.
nothing permanent is being agreed beyond that period.
-
/// riónce becomes a bgs partner who occupies 8-15 full days per month, covers £800 of annie’s rent for march and april & focuses on monthly re-occurring revenue ///
most days will be agreed and locked in at the start of each month so there is clarity on both sides.
-
on most riónce days, i will open and close the studio myself and remain present during the shoot where possible.
on those x specific days only [A]:
✓ riónce manages opening and closing
✓ riónce manages its own residents
✓ riónce ensures the studio is left clean and reset
✓ ryianna is not required to manage those days
I’ll also ensure we focus on:
✓ welcoming creatives into the space
✓ helping people settle in quickly
✓ building relationships with photographers using the studio
✓ encouraging repeat bookings and word of mouth
riónce takes responsibility for how the space is used on those allocated days.
outside of those days, the studio runs exactly as it does now.
OR [B] IF riónce is unable to open up & close up rhiyana will hopefully be able to open and close on those days. (compensation = £20 per day - 30 mins opening & 30 mins closing at end of day)
-
normally riónce residencies run for 4 months.
however, because this is a new studio partnership, march and april will act as a short trial period (phase 1).
this allows us to:
✓ test demand for residencies in the space
✓ bring new creatives into the studio
✓ see how the working structure feels for everyone
✓ build initial momentum around the studio
after these 2 months we can review what has worked well, decide together what the longer structure should look like and if we’d like to continue into phase 2.
-
/// phase 1 ///
✓ placing current riónce residents who need dependable space
/// phase 2 ///
this will not run on hope. i will focus on building structured residencies into the studio through a mix of:
✓ converting existing warm leads already in my network
✓ reaching out to a small number of aligned cold leads
✓ speaking directly to creatives already booking adhoc who may benefit from monthly structure
✓ promoting the space across riónce arts club & studios platforms
/// phase 2 focus ///
consistent monthly commitments, not one off bookings.
/// ryianna continues to focus on ///
adhoc and premium bookings
separate lanes. shared growth.
this is not about flooding the space randomly. it is about building a steady base and layering growth on top.
-
if an adhoc booking comes directly through riónce, whether through our network or a resident, and it sits outside of the allocated days, the split is:
/// 60% annie ///
/// 30% rihanna ///
/// 10% riónce ///
this only applies to bookings clearly generated by riónce.
all other bookings remain unchanged.
-
nothing changes.
outside of riónce allocated days:
✓ ryianna manages adhoc bookings and packages
✓ annie remains owner
✓ the existing split remains
non riónce bookings stay at:
/// 60% annie ///
/// 40% ryianna ///
that structure is untouched.
-
if rhyiana refers someone onto a riónce residency:
✓ she receives 10% of that resident’s monthly residency fee
✓ this continues for as long as the resident remains active
——
if annie refers someone onto a riónce residency:
✓ she receives 10% of that resident’s monthly residency fee (on top of the flat rate paid that month = £x)
✓ this continues for as long as the resident remains active
——
if riónce refers an adhoc booking to bgs:
✓ riónce receives 10% of that booking value
the idea is simple. we support each other’s lanes instead of overlapping them.
what success looks like after the trial
if the next two months go well, we should start to see real momentum building around the studio.
✓ more creatives discovering and trusting the space
✓ a stronger online presence through shoots, reels and collaborations
✓ genuine testimonials and reviews from photographers who have used the studio
✓ more word of mouth recommendations within creative networks
✓ clearer insight into the appetite for longer term residencies
the aim is not simply two busy months. it is to seed the studio with the right people, so activity continues to grow naturally afterwards.
what we are aiming to see over the next 2 months
✓ 8-15 full days activated across march & april 2026
✓ clearer separation between residency days and adhoc days
✓ more consistent studio activity during typically quieter months
✓ at least a few new adhoc bookings generated through collaboration
✓ a structure that feels workable rather than stressful
✓ a calm decision about what the next phase looks like
at the end of april 2026, we review properly.
what life after could look like
if this works, the long term structure becomes clearer.
✓ a consistent residency base bringing predictable monthly income
✓ rihanna focused fully on adhoc and premium bookings
✓ riónce focused on structured residencies
✓ shared referral income flowing both ways
✓ fewer empty days
✓ clearer growth rather than month to month survival
stability becomes normal. growth becomes strategic & intentional. we all win.
