terms & conditions

by joining rionce arts club; whether through a membership, residency, one-off booking or event; you agree to the following terms. this keeps things flowing, fair and functional for everyone involved.
1. general commitment
memberships and residencies run on rolling contracts.
one-off bookings and event payments are non-refundable.
please only sign up if you’re ready and able to make full use of what’s on offer.
family emergencies or last-minute issues, while understandable, don’t entitle you to a refund. our model relies on confirmed numbers to sustain the space and the community.
memberships and residencies cannot be ended prematurely. a proper conversation must take place in advance if you're thinking of leaving early. no ghosting. no sudden drop-outs.
2. no refunds or returns
no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. this includes missed sessions, dissatisfaction, illness, family or personal issues, or changes in your schedule.
all payments are final and non-transferable. this applies to:
studio memberships
residencies
creative courses
ticketed events
one-to-one bookings
event/ workshop fees
if we ever cancel something on our end, we’ll offer a replacement or credit. otherwise; no exchanges or returns.
3. deposits & damage
some memberships and residencies require a deposit.
a portion of your deposit may be non-refundable (for example; a joining fee). the rest is refundable at the end of your term, as long as:
no damage has been caused
you’ve honoured the full term
you’ve kept the space clean and followed club guidelines
damages caused during your time will be deducted from your deposit.
examples include soiled backdrops, broken equipment or disrespect to the space or others.
4. early exits
if you choose to leave your membership or residency before completing the full agreed term; your deposit will be forfeited.
this isn’t personal. it’s to keep things fair for those on the waiting list and protect the structure we’ve built for everyone’s benefit.
again; early exits aren’t allowed unless there’s a serious conversation and agreement in advance. otherwise; the deposit is gone.
5. studio access & bookings
studio time must be booked in advance through our designated platform.
if you cancel your booking with less than 7 days’ notice; it cannot be rebooked or refunded.
consistent no-shows or late cancellations may result in suspended access.
you are not allowed to lend, sublet or transfer your studio time to others.
during your time, you are responsible for yourself, your guests and the condition of the space.
6. equipment & backdrop use
most in-house equipment (lights, tables etc) is free to use.
for memberships and residencies:
colourama backdrops are free only if left clean and not stepped on
a £25 charge applies if it’s rolled out, stepped on or soiled
for one-off or adhoc bookings at full rate:
white + one colour of your choice (from our existing stock) is included in your booking
check with the team before using unfamiliar gear. let us know in advance if you’re planning anything specific or out of the ordinary.
7. space rules
treat it like your second home. clean up after yourself; respect other people’s time and space; don’t take the mick.
maximum group sizes apply unless agreed otherwise.
no illegal substances or smoking indoors. moderate drinking is okay if flagged with management first.
no under-16s without written approval.
8. content & consent
rionce arts club may photograph or film activities in the space for promotional or archival use.
if you prefer not to be included in media; just let us know in advance.
for residencies; certain content commitments may be required such as reels or spotlight features. these will be outlined in your personal agreement.
9. behaviour & values
we’re a space built on respect, openness and love.
no passive aggression. no entitlement. no gossip. we’re grown.
disagreements are okay. disrespect isn’t. if there’s a problem; speak to the team directly.
failure to engage respectfully or honour your agreement may result in suspension or termination without refund.
10. cancellations, suspensions & terminations
to end a membership or residency; a 1-month written notice is required.
if you ghost us, disappear or breach the terms; we reserve the right to terminate your access.
this includes repeated no-shows, non-payment or lack of participation in residency expectations.
11. communication & response times
we’re a small, dedicated team doing our best to keep everything running smoothly.
emails and messages will be responded to as soon as possible. we ask for your patience and understanding.
12. final word
we’re here to support creatives, founders and dreamers. but this only works if everyone contributes to the culture.
we invest in you and expect you to show up for yourself and the space in return.
