the rionce ‘third space’ residency

most people are tired.

not just “i need a nap” tired. we mean tired from everything feeling like a performance. tired from every social thing turning into content. tired from shallow networking that somehow takes hours and gives you nothing back. tired from feeling like you have to document your life to prove it’s real, or to succeed, or to grow anything.

and if you’re the kind of person who just wants to create, that whole world can feel annoying. draining. like it’s taking something full and turning it into a show.

so we’re building something different.

something that feels like a sacred space, but not in a weird way. in a simple way. a space your nervous system starts to associate with peace. a place where you don’t have to perform. where you can just be yourself. where you can get inspired and creative again. where you can be messy. where you can try things. where you can breathe.

that’s the rionce ‘third space’ residency.

it’s a 16 week experience, built on a studio ethos. a weekly studio hangout for founders, creatives, musicians and curious minds, especially people aged 25 to 45 who want to be around kind, down to earth people who are actually trying to build a better life for themselves.

you come through. you chill. you make. you chat. you play. you learn. you connect. you have a good time. and it’s the kind of thing that’s hard to explain properly until you’ve been in the room.

and yes, this isn’t for everyone.

it’s not for disrespectful people. it’s not for people who act up for the camera. it’s not for people who are rude, discriminatory, cliquey, or who don’t appreciate the fullness of an experience and its entirety. it’s not for unnecessary drama, shouting, or dysfunction. and it’s definitely not for stoosh behaviour.

this is for people who want real life. real presence. real connection. and real creativity.

what you get, basically

weekly studio hangouts

this is the core. you don’t have to be loud or overly social, but you do need to be open.

the minimum expectation is simple: come to at least two sessions a month. not on a half-hearted thing. actually come and take it in.

monthly accountability

a monthly accountability call on fridays. calm, useful, and practical.

monthly guest talks

talks with special guests, scheduled in advance. founders, artists, musicians, and people with real stories and useful perspectives.

extra nights

extra nights announced with 48 hours notice. optional, changing month to month. just extra chances to come through and do something together.

what you leave with

we can’t promise how you’ll arrive. some people arrive feeling excited. some people arrive feeling flat, stressed, or negative.

but the one thing we do know is that people leave feeling better than when they came.

more inspired. more calm. more confident. more like themselves.

over time it usually turns into more friends, more collaborators, more colleagues. more follow-through. more experimenting. more courage. more “i actually did what i said i was going to do”.

why we’re doing it

studio space can be costly and hard to access. community is hard to find. and a lot of social culture feels draining and performative.

loneliness is real too. isolation is crippling. and when people don’t have a regular place to go, a place that holds them, they end up stuck in their own head recovering alone, getting tired, getting numb, and often stopping the very things that would help them feel alive again.

connection is one of the best healers we have. creativity is healing too. and when you put those two together consistently, something shifts.

that’s the point.

the culture

we keep it low key. no videos in the space. photos are fine, but be mindful of who’s in the background. some nights we may have a professional photographer, and that’s the main documentation. if you don’t want to be photographed, it’s respected fully, no questions.

the rionce team may voice record talks, performances, or relevant audio in a designated recording area, as a way of keeping the important bits.

we’re not building a content house. we’re building a real space.

why 16 weeks?

because it’s long enough for your life to shift, but not so long it feels impossible.

we found 6 months was too long for most people on previous residencies. 3 months was too short. 16 weeks sits in the middle. you can see the end from the start, it feels manageable, and it gives you enough time to actually build new habits and relationships.

how it ends

no big finale event.

instead, at the end of the 16 weeks we publish a zine-style article/archive of what residents have made over time. think film / sepia photos, a few quotes, and a quiet record of what got created. no big reveal. just something you can look back on and feel proud of.

one month before the end, we’ll message you to confirm how you want to be included and what you want life after the residency to look like.

how to join

£60 pcm, or £228 upfront for the full 16 weeks.

dm us “third space” and we’ll send the application details.

we’re selective. not on some weird exclusive crap. rather, just vibes and alignment, and whether you feel like the right person for the room.

if you’ve been wanting a place like this, you know what to do.
